Never really got going, all too easy.  Own goal, penalty, sending-off sounds like an exciting match.  Truth was Lucas had only one save in the entire game and try as they may even the Town End couldn't really get going.  A routine, easy three points.

spot on.was all a bit flat really, as tranmere were dire.
still onwards and upwards

It shows how far we have come that people can be a bit disappointed after an easy 3-0 home win.

Wilson sounded like he was pissed off with the attendance when interviewed on the radio. I thought it was very dissapointing.

Routine win, bring on Colchester away.

Three points.  Job done.

It's a shame that none of the competition slipped up, but we're a game closer to the end of the season.  As long as we match the results of Leeds, Charlton and Millwall, we'll be there.

I'm not in the slightest bit surprised it was a bit flat, I didn't really expect anything else. That's just how it goes.

Getting the win was everything. And it wasn't too bad a crowd. Glad it wasn't any lower though.

There's not much room for any more, unless the Bank is opened....which should happen for the remaining games, for a tenner...

Yeah I think they will open for Walsall and Brentford, can't really see either of those sides needing more than the Arkells?

How many do you reckon we'll have at Colchester?

Would like to think we'll take over 1000 but I expect around 6/700 to make the trip. Any idea how many tickets we have for it?

that was routine and easy.

I doubt we will have an easier game all season.

Angry Shouty Man was back today, only the second time I've seen him all season - the other time was Hartlepool.

We won and he didnt even shout any abuse, not even for Jon-Paul McGovern who must have killed his mother last season, the way he went on.

That is one of the most boring games of football I have witnessed in a long time. Tranmere offered absolutely nothing with 11 men, let alone 10, and it was a total walk in the park for our lads. Had we really gone for it and shown some cutting edge I reckon we could have put a few more past them but the play was just pedestrian at times because that was all it needed to be. Thoroughly unentertaining, but a 3-0 win is always a good result so I'll try and say something positive...

Douglas had total control in the middle. Greer and Cuthbert rarely looked troubled. Lucas must have been desperate for a deck chair he had so little to do. Lovely goal from Austin, with a great ball from JP to set it up. We were just far too good for them and that's all there is to it. Their number 5 was alright but the rest looked hopeless.

Oh, and goodness knows what the penalty (and red card) was for but we'll take it.
