Wouldn't it be 1000 in the Arkells on top of that, ie what Soton & Leeds had?
Isn't 2500 our maximum allocation for away support? Or was it 3000? In any case if Oxford came to town some of the away seats wouldn't be used because of buffer zones.

Local people I speak to around here seem to think that Oxford are paying big, big wages. How long can they go on before the bubble bursts??

3,600 is our full away allocation which is 1100 in the arkells and 2,500 in stratton bank. If the Pox ever came to town I would imagine that they would only get the stratton bank and they we would have to pray it pisses down.

I love the fact that Oxford are playing against teams like Tamworth and Grays Athletic week in week out. With every passing season they fuck up it becomes ever more hilarious.
Best memory of games was beating them at the Manor ground when they took a 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes and then we came back and beat them 4-2(may have been 5-2 my memory is getting bad). Seeing Steve Robinson score a couple of goals in our last game at the manor was also good.
I once had a Scottish girlfriend who spent about ten years living in Oxford. Every time she mentioned Oxford I said scum. Unsurprisingly she dumped me pretty quickly.

Trying threads on a Plastics, Wovers, Shitty or Gills match might be a rivalry measure? Shitty in the plays offs could arouse some interest?
Coming from Newbury, Reading was always the County team and even though I have ambled through missiles and fighting at Elm Park (plus a little at the Mad Stad) I have never really been too bothered about them though the latter day plastics deserve a little contempt. Rivalry? Historically perhaps but seeing some of their fans try and talk it up just brings out pity really.
Gills. It is true there were a couple of genuinely explosive matches which lingered a bit and I quite like the fact that the Gills fans try and keep the flame burning. We went our separate ways after the play off final and that was that for us really.
I do accept that the Shitty rivalry must be big out west - I have felt it at matches, we do sing about them sometimes and I do check and get pleasure when they lose. I have never had to live with it though but I can accept that for some it could be equal No 1.
Which brings us to the Scum. This is not about banter or joshing. Reg and others may have a point on history and certainly gates (no one said Milwall attract the biggest crowds at Chelsea or West Ham) but its about intensity. If seeing the yellow and blue scummers on the pitch or the terraces doesn't arouse a uniquely intense feeling of hatred then, suspect though that attitude may be in some ways, IMO (and no insult intended) you would be missing one of the essential facets of being a Town fan.

Good post....the bit in bold sums it up...it's not really hatred, but pantomime villainy for the majority of Town fans. Nowt wrong with that, and anything to encourage a bit of atmosphere. There'll always be a few knobheads on either side who'll get into a skirmish and then probably not be seen again.

I dunno Dave, we pulled off a 2-1 loss at home to them on the 3rd March. Local people I speak to around here seem to think that Oxford are paying big, big wages. How long can they go on before the bubble bursts??
Not true, we've got a tight budget and wage controls. Though up until a season or two ago we were still paying silly money.

Surely it's game over for the scum regarding auto promotion if they fail to win this game?

And ColU losing - could lose their place in the place offs pretty soon.

ColU being replaced by Huddersfield is highly likely....and probably not desirable from a PO point of view. The outside shot is that Charlton might implode, and be replaced by Uddersfield, and ColU by 1 of Woverss MKD or Soton
