From the present crop I would say Lennon is better (but he has been capped) - wingers have been a bit of dying breed in last 20 years. Beauchamp did have quality moments but his career at the top was pretty short in professional terms and his mentality, well what more can you say.

I'm pleasantly surprised that my fishing has resulted in serious consideration of Joey Mummy Boy Alcoholic Beauchamp. Like you say dell he had the technical attributes (a magical left foot, ability to skin a right back), but completely lacked the mentality to go further than he did.

Lennon is most definitely a right winger though? He'd be hopeless on the left, as his only trick is running round the outside of players as quickly as his little legs can carry him. And its only recently that he's learnt how to not completely fuck up a ball into the box.

I think it was a joke on the grounds that he's English and has since admitted he probably wasn't eligible for Ireland...

Di Canio did get capped only ten times or so but then he was always behind Baggio then Mancini then Del Piero  then Totti. Now he'd be a shoe-in. Then he didn't have a hope.

You sure about that? I seem to remember that he could have played for England because of residency, in the same way as Arteta and Almunia, because they've not been capped.
