I've just driven through blizzard conditions (Hartley Whitney), snowing very heavily and a big freeze tonight. Compacted snow and ice with fresh snow on top, its going to be very nasty. Get home before it is dark ladies and gentleman.

I used to know a kidder who had a big old house in Hartley Whitney, which he shared with his sis, who was fittus maximus. He used to hold a NYE bash late 70's early 80's, and it always seemed to be snowing or iced up when I had to find my way there. Worth making the effort though as never failed to pull.

Down old memory lane, those were the days of proper NYE parties. Remember many of the same sort in the 70s.

Think being youngish, single and having a few bob in the pocket may have helped

I've played football and cricket at Hartley Wintney quite a few times.I like having the green on one side and the church surrounded by the tall oak trees on the other, with the A30 running through as well.It gives it a proper feel to the place.

I'm saving it for the new year, so you'll have to pretend you've never heard it.

Fred left Fletham at 3.30pm and is still between J6 and J7 on the M4. Looks like he's in for a night in the car.

Weather or traffic, or traffic because of the weather, whether this makes sense I don't know.

The roads are fine, in fact it was one of the easiest Monday morning journeys into London I have ever had

You spoketh too soon young Andy. I'm glad I stayed at home today. I will probably have a bash at the Fosse in the morning though, although it is snowing lightly again now.
