E_I_E_I_E_I_O UP THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE WE GO!!! Cheesy Cheesy

It was well boring for about the first 60/70mins then it picked up! Come on lads. Fuck the cynism (and we should have more there in terms of attendance) just get into the fucking games and get behind them!!!!!!!  Wink

Couldn't agree less.

Best game I've been to this season and even though there wasn't any goals in the 1st half, the football we played was a joy to watch. The ball spent most of the time on the ground and much of the passing and movement was crisp and incisive.

Charlie Austin is improving every game and his all-round play today was much better than the Huddersfield game.

Really enjoyed today.

Orient fans on their message board gave the ref a 0 and said the penalty was joke and he wasnt sure Mwankdire should have seen red.

wha?

Well fatboy Scowcroft was lucky to stay on the field. The penalty was a blatant pull back, Mwankdire should've started walking as soon as the free-kick was given. It was blatant. Charlie was through to hopefully complete his hat-trick, and he cynically brought him down.

The Huddersfield game was good because of the result, but due to the conditions you couldn't say the football was brilliant.

But let's agree that 6 points from 6 points is a great return!

As other have said, the penalty was pretty clear cut and having seen it the ref didn't have any option. Though, I thought there was a good shot for a penalty in the first half as well when a player got pulled down (not sure who it was).

I don't see the ref had any choice with the red card either. Austin might not have been able to get a shot off as defenders were alongside him and closing but it was on the edge of the area, Austin had beaten his man, there was no defenders between him and the goal and he was hacked down with no attempt to play the ball. Maybe it was harsh but its a straight red every time.

That was great fun today, with all 3 stands in danger of singing at the same time.

Douglas is immense - he seems to be everywhere without having to hurry too much.

Austin really impressed again today - his positioning is great, rarely caught offside, and has a knack of holding up the ball.

I want Charlie Austin's Babies. I think we've unearthed a real gem here, i just hope it's not a flash in the pan or he loses some of the magic he's currently displaying.

Does anyone else think he's out of the Teddy Sheringham mould? Not great pace, but finishes well and seems to have a positional awareness and an ability to find space few players exhibit.

He is awesome and if you arent in the Charlie Austin Appreication Society on Facebook you suck!

If I had to liken him to a proven premiership striker, I'd say he was more of a Robbie Fowlers. Works hard outside the box, deadly in the box. He is exactly where you want him every time.

Defenders alongside him?

There were some either side of him, not sure how close but they looked only a yard or so away at the time.
