This is exactly why he needs to put pen to paper on a longer deal.  I know its early days but the kid clearly is quality.

I still find myself thinking about the amount of points to secure safety let alone looking at a Play-Off push!

The month of December is very tough, if we are still within touch of the Play-Off zone when we go to Fulham then who knows....

This is another great win.

Also, a great bit of business so far in the form of Charlie Austin and as Boeta mentioned... Douglas, we've been saying for years that we needed a player like him in that position but Sturrock et al were oddly content with the likes of Michael Pook in there. The signings of Douglas and Cuthbert were clear signs of ambition and long may that continue...

A good day.

Is he just on a contract until the end of this season?

I'm sure there would be a clause that meant we would extend  the deal (and have first dibs on a contract extention) if successful.

I just did a quick Google and it looks like he is. But I find it hard to believe that Fitton wouldn't have put an option in his contract so we can extend it if we want to. Though as others have said, its already time to give him another couple of years as he's shown he can handle it at this level, which was always the big question.

That threads kind of funny, as they're going on about missing out on players like Austin as they don't have a scouting network. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought we found out about him from his deal with Bournemouth falling through - which anyone who reads the (football) news would have been aware of. Its not like he was some super secret, everyone knew what he was doing at Poole and we were the club that took the risk.

I really enjoyed that and it looks like the crowd are now responding to a good team Wilson has put together.  Have no doubts this is a team - not a collection of individuals. The workrate is first class and its good to see Douglas and Ferry buzzing everywhere. Its now getting quite difficult to pick a MOM as there are a number of candidates each week. Every player worked their balls off. the pen was a blatant pen but was a stupid one to give away. The ref wasn't going to give 2 in 3 minutes so waved away a blatant hand ball. The second and third goals were typical goal poachers goals and thank God we've now got a goal poacher who has a hell of a lot more about him than just scoring goals.  Lucas fucked up for the first one but he's more than owed that one. Thier 2nd was just a bloody good shot.
MOM for me today was Douglas. Cunt of the day was Scowcroft who should have ssen red but we had a particularly bad ref who was happy with studs first, feet off the ground challenges in the 1st half.

They also said that the home fans were terrible until we went 2-1 up.

Good game today. It really came alive in the 2nd half. I thought Orient were a decent side that looked to play some good football. They were also well organised and hard for us to break down at times. Both teams had a good chance in the first half but other than that it was all huffing and puffing from us with no real threat. 2nd half we changed totally and went at them early one. Some of the passing play from us was superb and some of the moves and ideas really did impress me.

Didn't get a decent enough view for the penalty but it sounded like Sheehan was tripped. Thought Billy had missed his penalty for a second as well. I thought we were guilty of sitting back and being a bit to casual after that. We invited them to come at us and they did and I think the equaliser was deserved. We really moved up a gear when that goal went in though and that's what pleased me the most. I lost count of how many shots we had before Austin got his goals. Think we deserved the win on the balance of play and another good performance to boot. We're sitting pretty now after 4 straight wins. Good time to be a Town fan.
