Nice send off from Southend's Chief Exec:

http://www.southendunited.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10444~1783946,00.html

"Alex Revell has failed to live up to expectations....He was signed by the football club to deliver which he has not done and that is why he is moving on."

from the sounds of that it does seem as though if he preforms we can have him. least we've covered our back by having him on loan first. especially after he's been out for best part of the year with a broken leg

Wilson seems to be filling the squad with some tall and fast players, he obviously believes that to get out of L1 you need a few bruisers and a bit of pace to scare the opposition.

MY only concern now is if we get an injury to Macnamee then we have not really got any cover the the wide positions especially with AOB seemingly out for a few games, but I suppose that is what the emergency loan window is for.

We have a fair bit of cover in the wide roles Macklin, Marshall, McGovern, Obadeyi and even Timlin and Kennedy could play out there.  I am not overly concerned about a lack of wingers.

I wonder how much this will benefit Billy. I do recall him saying that he plays better when someone else is the target man and he feeds off them. I wonder if this will now be the case?

Cant believe their chairman or whatever he is, has said that sort of stuff. Will seriously make players think twice about going there. Would imagine it wont do much for morale, as he's bound to have good mates their that will be peed off. I might have a sneaky tenner on them taking the drop now.
