Just on RS ... 2 loans from Celtic.

Hope one is Paul Caddis. Seen him a few times and impressed me. Not sure who the striker might be, perhaps Chris Killen however he is very similar to Paynter.

Could be interesting, can't say i've been too impressed with their youth system of late so will be interesting whether they are any good. If I'm harsh I would imagine it'll be the equivilant of getting a championship youth player in on loan as both Celtic and Rangers with their current squads would be little more than average championship teams IMO.
Seems Wilson has an obsession with Scottish players at the moment though.

Only just caught one name ... Simon ?, and both are 21. One was with Middlesbro' for 3 years before Celtic and t'other was born in Dundee and came through Hoops youth system ... and was a sub v Manure last season.

Nothing on OS yet ... or BBC site. Maybe I'm hearing things?

Hutchinson's a bit of a brute I think.

Don't know anything about Ferry.

Yeah i agree he looked good against Saints.  I think he likes to run at defenders.  Dont think him and Billy match together however.

To compliment Billy you need someone like a Cox or Sabin who will run onto Billys headers and knock downs.

Someone like Leon Knight would fit the bill  (the Leon Knight iof 2-3 years ago mind you)

If Tope is played on the wing that's all a bit irrelevant.

Simon Ferry (born 11 January 1988 in Dundee, Scotland) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Scottish Premier League club Celtic.

Having played for the Celtic youth teams, Ferry signed a 4˝ year professional contract with the club in January 2006.[1] He was part of the team that won the Under-19 League and Cup double in 2006 and was among a number of players named, by coach Willie McStay, as likely to progress to the first team.[2]

A few months later Ferry made his first-team debut on a pre-season tour of Poland,[3] playing against Wisła Kraków and Legia Warsaw.[4][5] Soon after he played for the Scotland national under-19 football team at the 2006 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship. The Scottish team reached the final, in which Ferry played, but they lost to Spain.[6]

His professional development was curtailed by injury problems sustained in the 2006/7 season, which resulted in him missing almost three years of football club football and the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He returned to the Celtic first team squad in February 2009, and featured in a 2-0 win in a Wembley Cup match over Tottenham in July.[7][3]

Hmmmm I'll reserve judgement but for 21 year olds you would have thought they'd have made more of a break through than the stats suggest.

Unless they're injured and miss nearly 3 years of football.

Wilson scouted Tope for quitea while and hassled Bolton to let us have him, so I would imagine Wilson hs seen something.

He is only a young lad that has now made 2 starts in league football, he is still finding his feet, troulbe is though, in a few weeks he's off to the U20's WC so he may not return to us after than anyway if he is a big hit, depends if Wilson has agreed with Bolton that we will re-sign him on his return without injury.

A bit about both players here

ON the subject of Massimo Donati's future, Celtic manager Gordon Strachan appeared to take a veiled swipe at the Italian by highlighting the return of Simon Ferry. The luckless midfielder has missed almost three years with various injuries but impressed enough in training to be pitched in to the squad for today's visit of St Mirren.
"Massimo has the same chance as everyone here," said Strachan, responding to comments from Donati that he was not rated by his manager.

"I can only pick so many people but as long as you are signed by the club then you have a chance.

"Young Simon Ferry, who has been out for nearly three years, trained with us on Thursday and was truly magnificent and so he will be in the squad.

"If you asked Simon last week where he thought his future was, he wasn't going too far but this week he has trained with the first team, he has been absolutely sensational and, because of that, we are rewarding him.

"So we are open to any good players."

Celtic go in to this afternoon's game with only three wins in their past ten SPL matches and in the midst of relative scoring drought, which has led to them surrendering a seven-point lead over their Ibrox rivals.

Strachan, though, offered little succour to his fringe players after another, Ben Hutchinson, called for a chance to show his talent at first-team level.

Hutchison has made only two substitute appearances this term but has enjoyed a fruitful spell in the reserves recently, scoring his 14th goal of the season in the win over Hearts' second string in midweek.

On Hutchinson, Strachan was quite succinct, saying: "There are people in front of him at the moment.

"He is scoring goals for the reserves but I was at the reserve game the other day and there were people who made their mark without scoring goals, players who made chances for Ben and they have to be taken in to consideration as well."
