I have bought some new frames on line and now I need to have some lenses fitted.
I have searched on line for company's that could do this for me as I have a simple script of 1.5 each eye.
All of them state that I need to supply an opticians prescription before they can fit them.
Having spent out on the frames I do not want to go through all the hassle and cost in getting my eyes tested again (they were done approx 7 months ago), when I know what strength I need.
Anyone know of anywhere local or on line that will just fit the lenses that I require ?

Go in the opticians you had your test and ask for a reprint of your subscription if you can't find somewhere that does it without one.

i order my lads contacts online and they demanded his prescription details.after entering the opticians where the sight test was given the order went through ok.
have you tried to get to the payment stage yet?

you could try www.glassesdirect.co.uk. although i have a feeling they only do lenses for the frames they sell. But last i time i used it all i did was check a box to make sure i had a prescription,they didnt actually ask for a copy of the prescription. |

i think my mum picked up some glasses from chippenham after buying the frames from the net. erm i can ask or you can wander about chippenham in a daze?

OK - would you like to pay for it for me? Uh, not really! When I had it done it was £600 per eye. Think its much cheaper than that now, less than £400 per eye I believe. |
