Seems to me if we'd been going to sign him, then it would be done by now, because we're not, then it's only fair on the player to let other clubs now about him.

I agree, but its the use of language that I still can't work out, things like 'hot property', 'mystery striker', 'Don't want to alert other clubs' etc etc Why use words like that? We didnt with Samba, Berlin or any of the other trialists.

The words seemed to suggest to me that the guy they were monitoring was a possible real star, something a little special and an offer they can't pass up - now it all seems a little 'meh'.

Maybe Seye's agent did one over on Fitton/Wilson and convinced them that they had something special without them knowing much about him. I can't see it as Wilson is a football savvy bloke.

Now I'm hoping that he is the latest hot thing, and that the deal is indeed done, thats why its coming out now - this is my personal (hopeful) view.

I suppose I feel a little let down by it all. Not by the club you understand, just that I thought we were close to landing a gem and now it doesnt look like that.

I think it was all talk so we at least had some hope that we were actually close to signing a striker when in truth we arent and wont.

I don't think official channels reported it until Dazza pulled out some Slovakian news articles. Blame him.

Lets be honest, paying big bucks to a player youve only seen training is dodgy...some players have had proper trials and scored hat tricks(Eastwood) and not been invited back...if you think hes good enough sign him not mess about keeping pretend secrets from us the fans, not knocking the club but cant see the point of the last week to be honest.

play up front with billy p
Mouh-ma-doo doo doo
maybe score a goal or three
to the left, to the right
defenders shaking at the knees
While we all sing your name
To a naff 80's melody

Clap That's the shit Dave. I hope we sign him and people sing this song. It's up their with that Christian Roberts song created by someone years ago on here to my old mans a dustman. But no one sang that. Sad
