Its my duty as forum grim reaper (not THE GRIM REAPER) to announce that Livingston in the SFL Divison 1 are near death

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/livingston/8170558.stm

The Scottish Football League is already preparing for life without them...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/livingston/8171390.stm

On another note wonder if we can buy one of the stands at their ground if they do go under.

Nice new Town End or even Stratton Bank? Minus the seats ofcourse..

Been to Livvy before. Its a soulless new club that have gone the same way as Gretna. Saw some success after only forming 14 years ago. Climbed up the leagues, won the league cup, got into Europe (I went to a match against Sturn Graz, finished 3-5 I think) and have gone downhill ever since. Friendly club but a shit place to watch football if you want an atmosphere.

In a word, no.

Unless you want Armand One?

I preferred it when they were Meadowbank Thistle. What a name!

Anyhow it seems the chairman is the italian equivalent of old greek one. He seems a bit of a cunt.

The staff and players have all been made redundant. The SFA is ready to officially kick them out of the league after they go into receivership.

This could have been us and Diamandis, who seemed determined the club would die..... Angelo Massone the owner of Livingston refused to give up his 25K shareholding in the club and allowed it to go bust. If he gave up the shareholding. Livi would still be here.

Massone is a complete muppet. But it couldnt happen to a nicer team. Bring back the Bankies!

Also, another plus, is it will allow another team to step up. Either Spartans or Cove Rangers IMO.

Another example that this can and will happen if chairman ignore the realities of the outside world.

It's not a £25k shareholding, it's a £0 shareholding. It's worthless but the administrators have offered him £25k to give it up and sod off, but he's holding out for more because "I have invested millions of my own money into keeping this club going". In the meantime, there are apparently investors willing to come in and save the club, but none of them are prepared to get involved while Massone is around and he won't quit unless he gets a payoff he deems worthy of his alleged investment. Sound familiar?
