Is OBrien naturally left or right footed? Which is his strongest?

So would you drop Macca or play OBrien on the right on his weaker foot?

Play O'brien on the right. They could always rotate

I reckon he might play Macca at home JPM away on the right, As Macca is clearly a homer, and if Peterboro is anything to go by 3-5-2 away is going to be used a fair bit.

He switched to 3 at the back at least a couple of times in home games towards the end of the season when he was going for a result. I reckon Wilson thinks Greer, Morrison, Lescinel is strong enough to play as a back 3 especially with say O'Brien and Amankwaah playing left / right midfield, even more so with Douglas in the middle. I reckon the defence / midfield is almost sorted, maybe a left back but is anything else needed? Better to spend what we've got on the best 2 strikers we can get.

The wingers will swap through the game anyway, Wilson did this a lot last season, and I can see that happening again.
We prob need to sign just the one full back (LB), and two stikers, prob one of these on loan. The squad then be fine, a good strong starting 11, with back up from a mix of youngsters (Thompson, Maklin, Kennedy etc), and expereince (Easton, Peacock, Ifill etc)

Am I the only person that isn't filled with confidence about Kevin Amankwaah playing as a wing back.

He wont though, if its a 3-5-2 it will be JPM, if 4-4-2 it will most likely be cuthbert if he signs.

Cuthbert, Greer, Morrison, and we need a left back.

I think we will probably see Awankman playing left back especially if we don't sign a new one before the start of the season.

I don't want anyone playing as a wingback...don't think players at our level are good enough to play this way...it always ends up with 5 at the back.

I agree Reg.
The only time I've seen Town use the system well is under McMahon when Paul Allen played as a wing back.

The only time I've seen it work was under Hoddle, with Kerslake, then Summerbee on the right and Zippy on the left. It was McMahon use which convinced me it doesn't work, unless you have someone like a quarterback as the spare man...someone like Hoddle.
