http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_BellThaught Bell has been unlucky to miss out...number 3 is tough and he averages 40 in test matches...also a very good fielder, had his kick up the ass now get him back in the fold.

No SK Warne to torment him with his straight ball either leefer.
Bell is the best choice I feel.

It's a big loss to lose KP even though he hasn't been in the best of form. Form is temporary, class is permanant.
With the next test at Edgbaston, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ian Bell return, but he hasn't done a great deal for Warwicks recently.

Bell is averaging 80 this season, so he's in form. I've seen him be rubbish for England far to often to be confident though

There is a compelling argument for moving Jimmy A up to #4 and bringing in an extra bowler.
Doubt that'll happen though.

Early season big scores,Trott has been outscoring him in the last few weeks, especially today Bell didn't do very well in the England Lions game at Worcester either.

Wouldn't mind seeing Jonathan Trott getting the nod in a straight Saffer swap, but it will be Bell, the only question is whether he goes in at 4 or they jiggle the batting lineup around.

Trott is a reasonable shout but I think I'd rather see Bell in now, just to wind people up.

Bell at 5 will be fine... he's been class this season. Bet Vaughan wishes he hadn't retired now though.

Collingwood to 4 then?
Or Prior. Come on Matty, you can bat 3.

Bopara should be moved to 5 with KP's replacement at 3 and Colly at 4.

Bell is little more than a flat track bully. Once the pressures on he flat out bottles it
