Job done. As some wag pointed out, looks like McGrath will now need to revise his prediction to a 3-1 series win for Australia.
Well done lads. A great start. Can't wait for Ponting's interviews.

fuck me this was a satisfying test.
sweepstake on ponting's complaints?
- questionable decisions for his and hussey's wickets - wrong type of chewing gum

Fair play to Ponting never moaned just recognised the fact they were beaten by the better side which was true.

Punter has just completed at historic double.
Not only was he the first Aussie captain to lose a test series to England for 18 years, but he's just because the first Aussie captain to lose a Lord's test for 75 years !!
Nice one, Punter.

I thought the fortune was shared really. Went yesterday, the Aussies including Clarke were beaten by the bowling on many occasions and rode their luck whilst not offering any chances. Fair play to them for the effort (particularly Clarke and Haddin) they made and it was closer than expected at the end. Still great win and Freddie (who looked like he'd just run a marathon when fielding) is an absolute cricket monster !

Great win. Glad we didn't blow it. The Aussies have it all to do now. Great turnaround from Cardiff.

It's no good bowling line and length to Clarke and Haddin. They're both very good drivers of the ball and they'll just keep putting it away. What are you talking about, should we feed them half volleys and long hops in the next test instead?

By the way, I'd say the major plus from this test that's gone unmentioned is Prior. Never doubted his batting, but that's developing into that of a very good international player - and his keeping was his best display of his England career so far.
