This is almost surreal to watch... Ordinary bowling being punished by fluent strokeplay.

Except the usual roles are reversed. Even the wicketkeeper is leaking runs...

That must be gutting for Cook... Oh well, still going well.

Remarkable start, still waiting for the inevitable collapse.

Hauritz back on the field with no strapping. That's pretty impressive, it was only about three hours ago that one of his fingers was facing a rather unnatural direction, I think I'd have given him the rest of the day off.

Edit: Nuts, Colllingwood gone 302/4. Just after the commentators were telling us he didn't do giving his wicket away easily to poor shots.

I'm wondering if we were allowing ourselves to get a little complacent.  Bopara, Pietersen and now Collingwood have all gone relatively cheaply.  (No surprise for Pietersen, mind.)  Only Strauss and Cook have posted decent scores today.

From here, we could easily finish on 400-450, which would be a let down after the first few sessions.  We really need to carry on & post a threatening 'big score' (500+) to pile on the pressure.

Don't worry, Jimmy A will hit his maiden test hundred and eventually top the batting averages for the series.

Prior gone to Johnson, who truly doesn't deserve these wickets. How he has more than Hilfenhaus is criminal.

England doing their best to throw this away

It's cheap dismissals like the last couple that will cost us. Someone (well, Fred) needs to join Strauss on a big total.
