2nd Test Lords
Steve Harmison added to the squad as cover for Freddie, who's an injury doubt with a sore knee.

Good, that shows the state of mind that Ponting and the Aussies are in.We'll put Cardiff behind us and the lucky escape and concentrate on the thursday's Test.Another draw will do for me, as we've got games at Headingley and The Oval later on,where we traditionally do well. Everthing to play for.

If I've ever had a better day than yesterday at cricket - being sober, actually feeling my skin frazzle, listening to the dull monotony of the Aussie 'fanatics', in Wales - then I really can't remember it.

Absolutely. The delaying tactics were underhand, but we should take no lectures from Australia about that. They're no strangers to a bit of gamesmanship themselves (and, yes, there is a difference between gamesmanship and outright cheating). Seems they can dish it out, but not so good at taking it themselves.
Agree also with your point about Ponting's state of mind. The failure to finish England off has got right up his nose, and that can only be good for us.

Monty will be dropped for Onions or Harmison it would seem. Flintoff will play I reckon.

Fuck off, Mark Nicholas is an absolute king. "Sixer!"
Id like to smack him in the face with a shovel. The bloke is brilliant for people who know nothing about cricket.

Onions for Monty is the only change on either side for Lords.
We're batting first, 5-0 so far.

Expensive, especially for an Ashes ticket that were sold out soon after they went on sale. For the West Indies a few months ago, you could get one no problem.

Johnson's stats make for good reading 8 overs, no maidens, no wickets, 53 runs.
