If the ball stops swinging then it's very very difficult for the bowlers, and we're bowling to 2 of the best 3 Aussies batsman. If we'd shown the same application we'd still be batting now.

We're not that bad, guys.

This game is actually pretty close. 2 more wickets and we're into their lower order. They are still just under 100 behind. Could be a very interesting last few days if the rain stays away.

The Times has a real time predictor that is currently predicting approx
  - England win (1%)
  - Australia win (24%)
  - draw (75%)

I think this implies that the chance of rain tomorrow is quite high.

Rain stopped play. Good news the way we seem to be bowling. Think the pitch is offering little of anything. Deffo a batting pitch.

From the Times again...

Times analysis: Bad news, I'm afraid. The rain is starting to fall again and the outer covers are rolled back out.

Times analysis: We have official word that the restart is scheduled for 17.05.

Times analysis: Umbrellas are downed around the ground, the rain has stopped and, tentatively, the outer covers are removed.

How is this bad news, exactly?

Bopara's lbw was a terrible decision from Doctrove who never gives anything but the plumbest of lbws. I wonder what hapenned there.

We're still shite though. Good day to be Steve Harmison, 4 wickets for Durham.
