Wages.
Well yes, there is that of course (assuming he gets offered a contract) But I would have thought that his priority at the moment would be to re-establish himself as a really good, steady, influential player with a great team ethos with potential to play at a higher level. He was clearly doing all those things at Swindon and to a degree, he's now starting again from square one with a different manager.... looking at it from the outside, it just looks a bit of a strange one. Ripley, Drinan, Glatz and Nicols you would assume, must have been offered a decent amount to re-sign and that he would have been offered similar....lots of assumptions there I know....oh well there we go. I wish him well...

He only started in 5 of the last 10 games at the back end of the season so perhaps wasn't feeling that he was necessarily going to be first choice, though of course things always change in that respect as seasons develop.

Wages.

He doesn't have an offer and presumably wont get a good one if they only fancied taking him on trial.

I think there are a cavernous amount of unknowns when it comes to footballers, and the romantic notion that players will come to the team with the best crowds, or the biggest stadiums, whilst probably true for a small percentile of players, is obviously not always the case, otherwise Fleetwood Town or Accrington for example wouldn't be able to attract very many players.

Nobody knows what is happening behind the scenes, perhaps Ofoborh doesn't like Holloway's coaching style, thinks our training facilities are pony, or simply doesn't particularly like the area. Or it could be that he is demanding more minutes on the pitch and Holloway simply can't offer him that. Or he could be asking for a wage that we simply can't budge from. We've brought in Snowden, Oldaker and Ball and I guess that doesn't allow a wage increase for Ofoborh.

Ultimately he's a decent lower level defensive midfielder and so whatever new side signs him, there is always going to be the 'sideways/backwards' career progression chat from Swindon fans' but ultimately the factors many fans immediately use as reasons for footballers to make decisions is way off reality.

Honestly just think he (or his agent) thinks we’ve got an offer from Swindon in the bank, let’s see if I can get a better deal elsewhere.

Probably didn’t expect that Holloway would so publicly withdraw the offer & is now stuck trying to pick up any deal that’s on the table.

I don’t know his personal circumstances, but I don’t imagine he can just hold out for what he thinks he is worth
