The Swindon lot don't seem to respect you

They don’t have the right contacts.
Was interesting to hear a few of them (Ling & Fjortoft in particular) being quite critical of McMahon.
Yes particularly when Fjortoft said he didn't leave Swindon, he left McMahon.

Yeah, and Ling saying he wanted everyone out that had been with Hoddle & Gorman. The virtual giving away of Shaun Taylor still one of the worst transfer decisions of my lifetime, in my opinion

…yet despite many, many, many people not liking McMahon he had us as a stable 2nd tier side for the most part - somewhere we haven’t been since and probably won’t ever set foot in ever again.

From the people i've spoken to about last night, it was a bit of a double edged sword. Whilst of course we should celebrate these guys achievements when the club 'peaked', the fact of the matter is we're about to record our lowest ever league position.
I still think (and they may well do) the club could attempt to curry favour and put some pictures on the official website to show what a great event it was (regardless if they didn't arrange it)

They can't unfortunately, no one from the club there in that capacity. Catering staff and bar staff of course but no one from marketing or media. Mildy was there as a guest on a table

Ah fair enough Dean, shame really as the club could do with a bit of positive PR.

Perhaps. That’s still a squad that he mostly put together though & after he took us back up we did stay up for a number of years after…

I thought the same but the team that finished the season included Digby,Bodin,Taylor,Horlock,Robinson, O'Sullivan and Ling. All about opinions but i do think that if he had not fallen out with players like Fjørtoft, Digby, Kilcline, Beauchamp, Fenwick, Taylor, Thorne, Watson, Smith, Holcroft, King, Culverhouse we have done better

They might want to earn some themselves at some point.

100%. I'm absolutely not suggesting that they deserve anything, which is completely on the dysfunctional ownership. Maybe Morfuni might make that long-awaited appearance on the club website this week as his mate from Sydney alluded to last week.
