SPFL Pish

Harry McKirdy - 22 Apps, 0 Goals, 0 assists.

Can’t shoot. Can’t run. Can’t pass.
Shite hair. Shite attitude. Shite performances.

Scored 20 goals and had 8 assists in the English League 2 last season.  Don’t ever let anyone tell you that the Scottish Premier is on par with Lg2.

Interestingly I did a quick scout of the Hibs forum and didn’t see any mention of his latest faux pas. I have been reading their thread about him intermittently as I was hoping it would work out for him but the sentiment towards him is 90%+ negative.
I found threads on both the main Hibs forums.

https://www.hibeesbounce.com/threads/mckirdy.139548/

https://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?362267-McKirdy&s=a6826a736843e174cc2f3f50de9e96ac

FWIW he is obviously being deliberately aggrivating probably trying to press for a move away where it just hasn't worked for him.

There are better ways of doing that though, he deserves all the stick he is getting TBF.

McKirdy was shite everywhere else before Swindon though as well, so it doesn't really form the argument that the SPL is so great.

Some interesting symmetry here... from twitter

'Harry McKirdy has now played 23 games for Hibs without scoring.

The last attacking player (including forwards and wingers) to play more games without scoring was Alan O’Brien who played 53 times for us without scoring.'

The more shocking thing is that Alan O'Brien played 53 games with his injury record.

Absolutely, I have watched several Scots Premier games as my best mate is a St Johnstone season ticket holder and the quality up there bar the top 2 or maybe 3 is pretty much comparable to lower end L1/ upper end L2.

He must have a screw loose

Even at Swindon he was a nightmare, all hidden as he was doing the business on the pitch.
Was always heading down to London after games on the piss, sadly lacks professionalism. What a lucky break we had from him. Signed a decent 3 year contract at Hibs as well, wages escalating every year.
My Mates Son is his best Mate, he said he wouldn’t last a year away from London, he was right.

Unhinged my Mate calls him.

Not having a dig, but is this genuinely much of an issue?

All I really want to remember is he was fantastic on the pitch and a massive hit with fans(especially younger ones) off it. Just grateful for the season we had. Plenty of pros have had  that bad boy image. I don't get this "role model" thing. If he has mental issues he needs help

I’d like to think in terms of being immature.

Sid Nelson -> Farnborough
Been playing for Woking and on loan at Welling since his return to fitness in the same league as Farnborough, suffered another bad injury early season.

Always gave everything, shame his injury record is as bad as Jordan Lyden.
