Simpson must be worth a cheeky punt on deadline day, although I suspect that bigger fish might be biding their time as well.
It would be churlish in the extreme for Ipswich to keep hold of him until the Jan window.
But I'd hope that we have more realistic striking options in mind before the window swings gently to.

I'm assuming that if Ipswich sell for a fee then that supersedes any potential dealings with a tribunal re compensation for development etc.
