Chelsea seem to take an awful lot of our prospective youth players down the years............

Might be something to with a Swindon lad Jimmy Fraser (who was on the Towns books but never made it) being highly involved with the youth setup at Chelsea. He is very well thought of and has been there for some fifteen years plus and has probably made them a fair amount of money in the sell ons from those that have not quite made it.

Killer... still a bit lively. https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/features/brian-kilcline-interview/?sh=wh

Sent from my SM-A125F
He mentions Chris Guthrie, as a fairly boring kitman who could not but join in the fun in Killer's Newcastle days.

As older TEF-ers will recall Chris had been a decent enough striker for a season in the late 70s - under or with Town legends Danny Williams and John Trollope - in what was to be the final Town season of all 3 of them.

Charlie Austin just scored a penalty against Bristol City and enjoyed his celebration.

Haven't really looked to see how he was doing at Bolton? Assume he hasn't been doing that well and decided it was time to call it a day and focus on his other interests.

I guess you were talking about Doyle but would love to have Austin back for the last couple of years of his career…

The Bristol City fans are a little perplexed by Charlie's celebration after his penalty last night. I'm not.

Doyle scored for Bolton at Rotherham today, who won courtesy of 2 goals from another ex STFC forward Michael Smith.

City results are as funny as at the moment. Charlie scoring a 1st half injury time pen, then QPR getting a 2nd half injury time winner
