This. People have short memories. As somebody mentioned previously if you asked him to do a man marking job on so ebody he was excellent. Often had Leon Knight & Leroy Lita in his pocket & they were two of the best strikers at our level at the time. Nathan Tyson always did a number on him though!!!! |

He was a bottom end L1/top end L2 defender. Point is he's remembered fondly and wasn't slagged off constantly, unlike some of our current side who are of similar ability. |

Expectations by a small minority are higher because of the Black / Di canio era and the way football has evolved in general. |
