Just heard the brentford commentator say douglas was offered to be their skipper, but turned it down because he thought it hindered him whilst at swindon.

Interesting/not really

The bottling cunt missed a penalty tonight.  What excuse is he going to use now?

Havant and Waterlooville have Pericard, Lee Peacock and Sammy Igoe

We should ask them if they want Atiku

Sol Davis, Jeril Ifil and Patrick Noubissie in the Kettering team which lose 7-0. Moses Ashikodi scoring for York.

I'm probably in a huge minority here, but I thought Sol was a really good player who could have done more with his career than he has.  I also think Jerel had huge potential but never really improved like he should have.

Apparently tonight Ryan Giggs equalled John Trollopes British record of 889 games for an individual club. Think the world record is held by Paolo Maldini for AC Milan with 13 more. Another great achievement if correct.

Jerel had all the right attributes in terms of strength and pace and had enough technical ability (except being able to pass) but far too often his performances relied on being partnered with someone more experienced who could essentially hold his hand.

I thought he was excellent in our last League 2 campaign.

Ifill had everything in him to be a top defender, it was only his concentration that let him down. The amount of times he used to let forwards get goal side of him was frightening. Positionally inept but I had a lot of time for him, nice guy too!

In Sols defence he did have a stroke. Was a solid full back in the NPC for Luton at the time if I recall?

Ifill is/was essentially the Titus Bramble of the lower leagues, put him with an intelligent partner and he is great - leave him to think on his own liability!
