Maybe my memory is going but the BBC and Sturrocks account of his time here seems a bit warped. Seems to suggest we were fucked and saved by the miraculous turn around instigated by him;

Not a player, but Andy King is going to be assistant to Aidy Boothroyd at Northampton.

I wonder what sort of reception Kingy will get on his return to the CG dugout?

I didn't mind Kingy for large spells. He was a bit of a cunt to be fair - but a loveable cunt in many ways. I do recall hating him for a while but I can't really remember why.

Off topic but...

That's one impressive decline for Bothroyd.

It is indeed, he was tipped by a few to be our new manager a while back (only a few mind you) Northampton must be paying him a fair old wage for this division.

Likewise. At times I thought he was given a rough deal by many fans.

Though every time he opened his gob he probably pissed off a few more. Didn't much care for his public treatment of players at times either.

Quite.  We were in third place when Wise and Poyet left.  Sturrock's achievement was to keep us there for the rest of the season.
