Has BFJ really been offered a 2 year deal by the Geordies? I'd find that a lot more surprising than him applying for the Swindon job.

Well Ashley has blown loads of money already, so maybe he just wants to burn the rest by signing up O'Leary?!

Regarding Newcastle. That was quite a poor result for WBA yesterday, they should have been able to put away Newcastle at home.

not without decent strikers, both carol and ameobi are too similar players, andameobis also shit, but they are two tall physical players who can win headers, but they need another pacey striker to play alongside one of them. its like having two billy paynters up front, they need a simon cox to link up with.

Apparently Ashley has put tomorrow as the deadline and if no offers are forthcoming then he will take back over the running of the club and appoint O Leary

God help Newcastle if they have Ashley & O Leary at the helm - susprised he doesnto look to appoint Dennis Wise as manager

44,000 at St James for their game tonight. Fair play.

Higher than all but one of the EPL attendances so far this season.

World class support.
