You could probably find a better class of bird hanging around Penhill. And that's saying something.

I'm no social class snob, anyone's fair game.

I reckon a posh bird would be quite fun, not a pretend one who was up her own backside, but one who was posh without trying. Sadly finding such a lady in Swindon would probably prove difficult.

You mean a really posh bird that's actually really dirty? Always fancied a bit of that myself...

On a different note.

The match in aid of Sir Bobby Robson's and his charity is under threat because "of the apathy surrounding Newcastle United."

Apparently they've failed to sell 1000 tickets so far. I'm going but it's sad really that they can't acknowledge a great servant to the North East and English football while he's still alive.

If they fail to honour this guy while he's still fighting on then I hope they "do a Sheffield Wednesday/Nottingham Forest/Leeds United".

They might be a big club, but they're not as good as any of those teams were. Though it's not a perfect example, it'd be more akin to a Swindon/Bradford/Wimbledon Smiley

Since their promotion with us in '93 they've experienced 10 or 11 seasons where they've played in European competitions - a little bit different to Swindon/Bradford/Wimbledon.

My point is that selling less than 1,000 tickets for this is beyond disappointing - are 50,000 regulars all on holiday? This game is essentially Robson's 'farewell' and it's a shame that they appear to be protesting about something that holds little relevance to the event.

fnaw, one thing i notice is the last fellow who "won't be buying one for the bairns (i assume that's how it's spelt)"...his lad is wearing a liverpool polo shirt, so i'd imagine he'd not really fancy one?
