Surely signing for us shows that he lacks ambition. I think we should have only tried to sign him if he didn't want to come here.

Nice Marx paraphrasing there FB.

And so...from the moment I loaded Dawn Of The Jed until I closed it down I was convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend reading it.

Anyway this Greer news is great. Not a season ticket shifter exactly but hopefully a sign of things to come, or at least the quality of players we are after.

The only thing that worries me is that he doesnt have a double barrelled surname

this makes this closed season already better than last years. Great signing.

OTJ is agood player. There aren't too many so big, strong and mobile midfielders, we just never saw the best of him because he never reached full fitness. With a pre-season under his belt he'd be immense IMO.

But he does have alliteration, which is good.

Thanks Juddie, you've made my point for me. Clearest indication is where he will be playing regularly next year. I will be surprised if it isn't a championship club.

If we dont get rid of any defenders we should play a 3-5-2

Let's hope he's a more consistent butler than he is a defender.

If Palace sign Jerel Ifil I'll eat my pants. A season ago perhaps, but not on his current form.

That said, if and when he comes good again we've got four decent defenders - Aljofree might have acted like a bit of a plum, but he's a good player – vying for two spots. Happy days. If we're going to be challenging for the play-offs you need cover in that position. Imagine where we would have finished if we'd had Greer this season...

Ifil to Palace is the best laugh I have had on this forum for years!
