I'm getting in to Burial at the moment, got their Untrue album earlier today and I love it. The dub step genre label will probably put a lot of people off but its misleading, I'd go with ambient sound scape.

i dont like that new blockheads album, the bloke is so trying to be ian dury i find it slightly unsettling.

Bought 22 dreams by Paul Weller the other week, its easily as good as wildwood, and arguably his best solo offering to date.

Its just one fella you know, not that it matters of course.

Fantastic album and a really original sound, though there are a few easily skippable tracks. It'll be interesting to see what he puts out next. I think there was a Burial DJ Kicks due but it seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front.

I've got High Contrast's new one downloaded, will give it a go soon.

all I seem to buy these days are Aerobics CD's PPL free ones at that which can be dire!

Just ordered Keri Hilsons new album though

I've not heard of any of these people. Gonna have a listen over the weekend.

Last thing I bought was empire of the sun and Sneaky Sound System's new album from Oz.

No idea who Keri Hilson is, but just googled her and she's hot.

Poor man's MGMT I guess. Album's ok, two or three belters: walking on a dream, standing on the shore and we are the people (the one off that advert).

I've never tried the DJ Kicks series, but some of the other similar DJ compilations can be pretty good at times.

I'm so out of touch with music nowadays and spend most of my time catching up on stuff I've missed. Still spending a lot of time listening to Mr Scruff / Keep It Unreal and the self titled Crystal Castles album though.

I've been listening to Mr.Scruff's recent effort Ninja Tuna a fair bit, not as good as keep it unreal, all seems a bit too intentional. still a good listen though.
