Crozzer, your avatar is ace...the slime covered block that used to adorn The Parade. I had a daily view of it at my first job after leaving school in the warehouse at Fine Fare supermarket, just about 17.

Yep...I quite like the idea of public works of art...its brutalist modernism, which inadvertently became covered in slime....definitely captured the zeitgeist. |

How many first team coaches do you need.I would imagin DW does a lot of the coaching along with DB as his back up and by the way i have spoken to 1-2 of the senior players at the end of season do and they said that both are very good coaches and bounce off each other very well,if that is the case thats god enough for me.
We definately need a new goalkeeping coach. As for more than that, its up to Wilson to say? Sturrock had 3 of his own backroom staff. |

Why do goalkeepers need coaches?  ? The only thing I see from the practice before the game starts is how to catch a ball from crosses and how to take goalkicks ... total waste of time. |

Why do goalkeepers need coaches? ? A young keeper like mark scott im sure would be lost without a coach. these coaches have usually been there and done it, invaluable experience to a young keeper. as for older keepers, im not too sure myself why they really need coaches. im sure there is a reason, but its probably just so they dont forget the important stuff. pre match watm ups like goal kicks and catching crosses however, dosent seem like the sort of thing that is most needed right before kickoff. maybe having some of the players shooting at goal would be more appropriate. still, im not one to say as im not a keeping coach. |

For a time this season we had both keepers spooning the ball into the net every other week at the same stage of the season. Both quite highly rated keepers.
They key to football is getting the best out of what you have.

I have fond memories of it. Soon after the opening ceremony, laundry soap was added, prompting foaming and a Points West film crew. A bunch of ladies who would not look out of place in a Monty Python sketch played by Michael Palin, Eric Idle, etc., described in detail how Daz was put in it. Not to be outdone, a lady from the back leaned over and proclaimed "and Omo, and Omo". I remember being helpless with mirth. The municipality didn't seem to think that a biocide added to the water might prevent the onset of a stained and slimy appearance. This sorry looking piece of utter crap was a constant source of joy. |
