Good cox. Bad everything else, in particular not buying quality players or manager in the summer leading to a season long struggle of defeats and clamity.
And yet i still expect up to 'turn the corner' :-S which is obviously bollards.

GOOD: Secure off the pitch, Simon Cox, Danny Wilson coming in, cheap ticket prices, board talking to the fans, some good away days, attendances for our league position, the emergence of Sean Morrison as a consistant player, Billy Paynter has improved, good performances at Leicester, Franchise, Oxford will play another season in non-league

BAD: League position, defence, goalkeepers have gone from 2 of the best to 2 of the worst, atmosphere at the ground, Lack of confidence seemingly

The season ticket initiative has meant that crowds have held up, and we've had a stable season off the pitch.

Some results and too many performances have been below acceptable, but it is worth considering it could be a whole lot worse.

I was watching a bit of Glentoran v Linfield last night, the Glens are managed by Alan McDonald...Steve Lomas was pundit Grin....I was trying to explain to a mate what happened here with McDonald, and it brought  back the full horror of the early to mid noughties.

I think I've tried to obliterate from my memory some of the events of those years, but things like having no lawn mower at the CG and begging for post-it notes springs to mind.

The collective effort in trying to get the (was it Leicester game) on during the snow, showed that there is still some life left in the fans.  This is important because we've sunk so low due to the problems caused by successive regimes....I'd like to think there is enough spirit in the club to arrest the decline, but fear it might have to start next season in L2.

Valid point, in fact someone else said that to me saturday when talking about gash away performances this year. I got very litlle stick for that result at work from the gills fans i work with as i was out of the office between those games.

Good;Cox's goals
McNamee's assists(how many more goals would we have scored if he hadn't been wasted on the bench for 17 games?)
Corr's last minute goal v Leicester
        Boxing day
        Paynter's form since Wilson came
Getting to know a lot more TEFfers
        Winning at Brighton
        Herthab in the Yeovil programme!

Bad-most home games I've been to
      Malpas not being successful
Idiot texters to RS on saturdays
      Ifil's decline
      Yeovil home and away
McNamee being wasted on the bench 17 times

GOOD: Oxford will play another season in non-league

Although it looks likely, this is not a certainty yet. We've got to win our remaining two matches and hope that one or two teams mess up their run-in. 5 sides going for the remaining 3 play-off places (Cambridge have more or less secured theirs). Considering the other teams in contention mostly play each other or those above us it's not impossible, just very unlikely.

So has Constable become a firm favourite....remember him scoring a good goal for us at Cirencester, while on trial a few years back.

Fatbury's lot didn't do Oxford any favours this evening.

Histon 5-2 Ebbsfleet United

Ebbsfleet were 2-0 up.

Histon must be Fatbury's bogey team, he must be bricking it about Arsenal ever getting them in the cup. The minute that one comes out of the bag I'm lumping on for a bet I shall christen a "Fatbury Special"
