Youtube style, hopefully Dell will love this thread.

I'll kick it off, Slash plays 2 fantastic solos in this, the first is around 4:10 and the second at about 7:25. Enjoy.

Slash solos are quality. "Sweet Child Of Mine" is up there with November Rain in my opinion.

Well if we're talking about The Kooks then yes they are because they are not really solos.

I was talking about in the whole of music ever. I prefer lsitening to the melodys and lyrics than some long haired tatooed sweaty 30 year old playing guitar at 3000mph, but i understand that some people are into that stuff

Nice posts Adje. Neil Young proves Dave young and makes him look like a ginger spastic. And Squire is the melody in the Stone Roses, genius.

In fact I'll post another solo which makes an otherwise (in my opinion) ordinary song a masterpiece and it isn't played at 3000mph either (nor were any of the other solos posted though!)

Solo at around 4:30, this was improvised, the harmonics are beautiful, the first note is probably an accidental pinched harmonic. Lovely stuff.

But is it because they're 3000mph or is it because you find them a bit boring?

There's some logic in your thoughts then.
