Based on what I've seen this season then I'd pick Pook above Easton. Easton had a decent game Tuesday but has been largely anonymous this season. Pook had a purple patch of about 3 - 4 games where he was really impressive - he's not been very good recently. Pook always seems to be singled out for abuse when there have always been and currently are other more higher profile midfiedlers more worthy of the bile and invective he gets.
I've never got on Pook's back and I don't think he's as bad as some say, nevertheless Easton is a better player. He's been in and out of the side all season, play out wide on occassion and played with shit alongside him. I still maintain Easton's a better player. (Although maybe saying those who disagree are fucked in the head was a bit harsh) |

I absolutely agree that Easton is a better player. What I disagree about is that he's been a better performer this season. I think nearly everyone Pook has ever played alongside has been a better player but most have not been better performers. |

It wouldn't make any sense to drop Easton just as he's coming back into some form though, which his performance on Tuesday night suggested he might just be.

right i know this is goint to sound mental but i got told that in training they were working on a system with wing backs which was:
Brez in goal
Amankwaah right wing back
Yinka left wing back
Ifil, Kanyuka and Nalis centre backs (yes nalis centre back!!)
Chris Allen, jack smith and timlin as the 3 central midfielders
cox and paynter up front.
this person was certain about the nalis centre back and jack smith midfiled bits but said they kept switching easton in for timlin and peacock for paynter so not 100% on those 2 positions

thats sounds a bit fucking mental.
harsh that JPM hasnt got a mention as he's been one of our better players recently. If anything he's probably our most creative player but then our wingers havent done alot in Wilsons two games.
If anything, instead of Nalis at CB stick Peacock there.

Yeah, Kingy did something similiar years ago with Miglioranzi as the sweeper. Migz was of course ace as a sweeper but our midfield went to shit without him because he was ace!

Nalis could be a quite decent Sweeper. He is good in the air and reads the game well, doesn't have to worry about marking because that would be Ifil and Kanyuka job. Brings a bit of experience to the backline and would be able to talk to the 2 of them in there, and (sometimes) is capable of spraying the ball around a bit. As long as Ifil and Kanyuka concentrate on their men so that Nalis is not left one on one with anyone it could work.
Unsure about Jack Smith in midfield though, would make more sense to me to have Easton in there instead and swap Smith for Yinka. Give Yinka a run out in 2nd half to see if there is any improvement.
