We had more home fans.

I'm hoping for 7,000 v Luton on Tues.

Good point OF, but it was your big local derby match  Smiley

To be fair, our attendances havnt been that great thus far.

Colchester on saturday, with a chance to get ourselves right up the league. Surely 7k+ on saturday (with 200 away fans).

Our average gate on our play off season under King was about 8,000 wasn't it?

I just laugh at all the Pox fans who say we'll be playing them in L2 next season. They obviously haven't looked at the L1 table recently. In saying that though why would they? They've been confined to the pub league for some time now.

Well what do we want then? Oxford to do well in the BS and get promoted to get in range of playing us or alternatively for them to fuck up and remain non-league?

I get confused by the posters on here. Are they a shit far off team or should we descend to L2 to play them?

Make your minds up.

You need to be contained within the political threads TT.

What's to get confused about? Some fans want them to rot in Non-League while others want the matchday rivalry to return. I hope that cleared your uncertainty up Smiley

Nah, I had some long conversations with my friends last weekend where they remember the rivalry and matches (I'm a newcomer to all this remember) with the scum and really really want it again. So from that I deduce that we don't want to descend a league to accomplish that so therefore they have to do better and come back up again.

I was just asking the question, Julian.

They belong in the pub leagues and I therefore feel they should play there for the next 100 years.

I would love to be playing Oxford twice a season again.

I've almost forgotten how ridiculous their yellow shirts look when on the same field as our pristine red outfit.

I fucking hate them. Their gobby fans really make my blood boil. The reason they go on and on about us is purely jealousy. We're their more succesful, richer neighbours.

They are traditionally a non league club.

Our average gate on our play off season under King was about 8,000 wasn't it?

The King year was 2003-2004.  The last 3 years our attendances have been pretty consistent and fairly respectable around the 7,500 mark.  This year our attendances have been shocking so far but we may well be saved by Leeds, Charlton, Norwich and Brizzal bringing big followings to keep us around the 7,000 mark.

Average Attendances:
2009-2010: 8,261 (League One - so far) - Only high because of Saints.
2008-2009: 7,499 (League One)
2007-2008: 7,170 (League One)
2006-2007: 7,419 (League Two)
2005-2006: 5,951 (League One)
2004-2005: 5,836 (League One)
2003-2004: 7,839 (League One)
