Here's a snippet that could be hard to digest. Ian Harte may relinquish his monthly contract at Blackpool to take up an offer of player manager at Swindon Town if the current caretaker manager agrees to work with him. Andrew Fitton is considering whether Harte/Byrne would be something the fans could stomach.

Ian Harte? Is he just a player at Blackpool, or does he have a coaching role?

(I know this is all bollocks, but it's another slow day at work)

Hopefully he just goes into a scouting role like King has at Plymouth. Obviously has an eye for a player but doesn't seem to really be upto the coaching side of the game.

On the basis of what? I feel sorry for him because before he was so bloomin' rude to assist his managerless employers, he was an integral part of the coaching set-up - helping us compete with academy sides at youth level.

He's not right for manager, but as a coach especially within the youth team - I'd happily see him stay.

I think Fitton and co should give Byrne the club as a christmas present.

What a gesture that would be.

I personally dont want Byrne here anymore .. particularly after his comments about fans this week.   If Fitton is that keen to have him here he might as well appoint him and manager as no one of any repute will work with him.
