Ward would appear to be favourite atm....

Doesn't mean it's a done deal yet though...

John Ward? What a massive let-down that would be.

Boothroyd or Hollowhead please.

You have to consider that if they went for Ward, it would probably mean a minimum disruption to the

backroom staff.Holloway and/or Boothroyd would want their own staff, i would suggest. It's certainly

not a done deal as of yet,if the board dampen expectations of the "names" tomorrow,it'll show which

direction that they're going in.

My worry is that sometime in the future, we'll be saying that this was an opportunity missed.

Having got them in the PO's the previous season...Ward is also a fan of Grunt Sniff  Wink

Ticks a lot of boxes, experienced, used to small budgets, has had some success likely to stay loyal at this stage of his career...a gentleman so would get on with AF, and probably reasonably cheap.

John Ward can fuck off. We'll only be slightly better than Malpas under him. He plays poor football and his teams are normally never that great. He did well at Cheltenham on a shit budget so credit where credit is due there. Yes he got Carlisle into the play-offs as well but i think that was more down to the fact of carrying on where their previous manager had left off. I don't think we'll progress much under Ward and i'd much rather have Holloway.

Here we go again, straight onto Mr F's pick before he's had a chance to officially announce it.....this after he's expressed his displeasure at the damage done by internet criticism of MM.

I don't Ward end of. It's not even anything to do with not being a name etc. I really don't want him. I don't think he's good enough to take us to the next level. Will not be happy if he is appointed. And he's probably the only candidate i can say that about.
