As i said Reg 2 home wins in 4 days would have us going to Walsall next tuesday with good vibes, its a big  7 days and i feel this time next week we will know if MM is going to last the season...2 home defeats i dont think he will be manager even v Walsall...only time will tell but no manager can survive losing 7 at home on the bounce surely.

Getting a win or a couple of draws would be good, very difficult to see us suddenly being good enough for back to back wins...

You can turn that round to be positive quite easily - I'd be pretty happy to see half the gutless squad leave in january

Amen to that.

I heard on Saturday that Cox is off to Sheff Utd for £1 million in January. Probably bullshit but I just thought I'd let you know.

I heard that very rumour at work but the fee was £1.2 million.

Liar.

It was £50 million plus van Nistelrooy.

If Cox goes in January we would probably be lucky to get half a mill for him.If he goes at the end of the season and gets close to 30 goals we should get one mill at least. At his current rate of scoring he would get more than 30 in a season.  If he stays until the end of next season and continues at his rate of scoring we could easily get 5 mill or more for him.

We will lose him with our present manager remaining in place and probably in January because Cox is ambitious and wants to play at least a level up. If we invested in a winning manager and got promoted we might well keep Cox and possibly beyond the end of next year.

Fitton's cost of keeping Malpas in place a moment longer is thus possibly at least £5,000,000 in respect of Cox alone apart from other considerations, like relegation and me having every other saturday ruined! Is Malpas worth this sort of premium? I do not think so.

I think Liverpool said they were interested in doing a cash plus player swap with us. £2.5m plus Torres.

That is about as realistic as this post
