I think the players are hearing a lot more stick this year because we just are not singing at all at home. Everyone is just watching thinking 'what the fuck is going on?' because you dont have a clue what were going to do next.

Not being funny, but Aljofree wasnt too scared to have a go back at that bloke at Stockport was he? He just doesnt know how to deal with it. The stick at McDons wasnt that bad, just a few groans and he just couldnt take it at all. Hes a bad captain and hes been in our worst defence for years. Hes not a bad player though.

Hes brought it on himself. I thought there might be a problem with his attitude towards the fans when he did the interview about Sturrock pre season.

The respect isnt there. We dont respect him and he doesnt respect us. Time for a free transfer I rekon.

because one or two people is slightly different from hundreds.

Franchise was only or two and Stockport by all accounts was the same.

It was certainly more than one or two saturday.

The guy he offered out at Stockport was a cunt too - from kick-off he was moaning about everything and to be honest i'm glad Aljofree did it, as he showed at least some passion and the cunt moved from behind me.

His comments in the paper today, although unhelpful, seem to have been edited to stir up even more discontent among fans. This doesn't mean what he said isn't right and that he doesn't have a point though!

Overall i think its just a shame the Adver see their forum as truly representative of town fans as surely our fans, collectively, aren't as monged as those on there. But I think its a bit irresponsible of the Adver to print this stuff seeing the run we're on at the minute, when it is just causing more hassle.

Sorry I must have missed the point you were making........

I thought you were saying that it has happened but it is unhelpful ?

I was saying whilst it might be unhelpful, if they are constantly shite what as fans are we to do ?  Politely applaud them and hope they get better ?
Well, no, but perhaps leave the booing etc till after the game has finished. I'm assuming that during the game we all WANT the players to play as well as possible - getting on their backs then can't possibly help. So why not wait till the final whistle and let rip then if you feel the need?

I agree with that paul. I moan and groan and will shout sort it now and then but wont boo during the game, i will say at half time i see nothing wrong with it though.

Also sol campbell showed against spurs how pro footballers should respond.

That's a bit harsh. Disliked players have turned it round before. Who doesn't remember the parade we did for Bobby Howe when his career eventually came to an end? Some parts of Swindon still celebrate Bobby Howe day. I miss Bobby Howe. Bobby Howe for manager? Did you know his actual first name was Stephen?

Whilst I agree with your point surely it must be different when it comes from your own fans?

I've never really been in that position (obviously!) so its hard to call but surely as a football you some what expect stick from fans of clubs you've left not your own fans.

Not that Aljofree should of re-acted but I know alot of people who would have in his shoes.

I know I've done both. Although not in a professional football but there have been times when I've bit my tounge and left things but there has also been times I've lost it. I expect thats the same with most people. My example arent during work though!

I think Aljofree giving it back is probably less about professionalism and more him personally, some people have short fuses.

The best way I could put it into every day terms, is if you were having a fight with someone you'd expect the verbals from their mates but you'd be a bit pissed off if your mates started as well....

I dont think I explained that too well. I know what I mean
