although his comments are not out of order,it wont help calm the friction.if malpas is given more time aljofree will still get slated by individuals along with jpm.it wont help anyone and i just cannot see things turning around.malpas has to go now so a new manager can lift the place, and negative attention can be diverted away from the likes of aljofree and jpm.

What i am struggling to get my head round is that they are basically saying that getting on the players backs is not helping, well thats all well and good and can explain Millwall but what about the previous shit they dished up.

Dons got a point...............there is a pattern forming...defeat - defeat - defeat - defeat! Malpas (who i have not had a pop at until now) says we need a cutting edge at the County Ground.........i agree.......on Fittons Axe.

In fairness DRS both Aljofree and JPM seem to have been consistently targetted by a section of the crowd pretty much since the start of the season. And yes they should rise above it and all that (see my previous post in here - I don't think his comments are going to help do anything other than inflame the situation), but it's not just the Millwall game where some people have been targetting players and booing during the game. And I will never understand how people think that's going to help.

I dont mind getting beat fair and square by a better side but it is the manner of the defeats both Millwall and Leeds have gone away thinking they are billy big bollocks when actually many League 2 sides would have beat us the last 2 home games it is the lack of effort and cohesion that left me fuming on Sunday and the constant bleating of players in the Adver saying it is going to change just makes matters worst. Yes something needs to change it is the MANAGER!!!

Paul - could it be that people have been on JPM and Aljofree's back's because they have been consistently shite since the start of the season ? I am not hearing that about Jack Smith, McNamee, Cox etc.... Maybe there is a reason that everyone else seems to be able to see apart from MM ........ Whilst it might not be the right thing to do for their confidence - what are people supposed to do ? Politely applaud all their mistakes ? JPM seemed to touch the ball about 6 times on Sunday - and gave it away at least 5 of them !! When it is that bad he deserves to be shouted at.....

I think it is that coupled with the fact that a couple of fans favourites have been made scapegots instead of these two.

No you are right and individual abuse will not help and it obviously is not helping those two. For as long as i can remember swindon fans well all fans for that matter have always had a boo boy rightly or wrongly.

I think against Millwall the boo's etc were at their loudest, there has been individual groups during previous games but not to that extent, when will people learn that during a game you support the players and cheer them on to hopefully get 3 pts, if at full time they have not shown the effort and commitment required then by all means let them know, but during the game support the players. I think Sunday was the first time that Malpas has had his name chanted since he's been here - he has never really been accepted as he was an unknown ,and has probably not been afforded as much time to get it right as perhaps someone along the lines of Sturrock / Wise would have. And Aljofree's peice basically saying they are scared of making mistakes, if they put 90 mins of effort and commitment in and lost then the fan;s would accept that as they would have got beat by a better team, but not outting in the required effort you will get abuse.

If we put aside the bear baiting thats going on with Aljofree and JPM and put aside whether its right or wrong then is it a result of just not liking the players or is it a reaction to their performances. Which came first the bear baiting or the performances. In my case, I'm acting on what I've seen. I will get behind anyone who puts on the shirt and give them a fair crack. There are some players, however, who are not worthy of wearing the shirt. I couldn't care less where they come from ( as long as they're not Scummers ), whether they're black, white, pink or big, small etc. What I do care about is that they give 100% - J Smith, Nalis, Cox and Paynter take a bow. Unfortunately, it looks like Easton, MacNamee and Timlin may well go the same way.
