Or close to it!...been in Devon for too days and after a delivery in Watchet had to go along the coast to Lynmouth, but that entails going over Portluck Hill which in 20 years of driving ive managed to avoid.
This time i had to tackle it and with a 1 in 4 gradient i seriously shat myself driving up it,it felt like the lorry was going to topple backwards, when thats finished you have to tackle another 1 in 4 gradient at Contisbury before driving along the cliffs into Lynmouth
In between Exmoor was stunning, though i hope its a while before i see it in the lorry again
Just wondered if you lot have had any scary driving moments at home or abroad?

There's one or two passes in Scotland that are worth avoiding unless you have  a change of underwear with you!

You should set up some sort of leefer-cam in your lorry. That way we could all be with you for your amazing adventures.

I quite often listen to the Archers whilst I'm eating my tea. It's quite amusing and very exciting. You can listen again to the last week on the BBC website Yeovil.

The bird from the Office, and Tamsain Greigg (spelling out there) from Black Books, both used to be in the archers.

I love Porlock Hill, often go for a drive there of a weekend (in a car not a rig mind you), a lovely area and only about 25 miles or so from me so I do it regularly, but I wouldnt want to do it in anything over 7 tons!

stunning drives and scary drives can both be found in Romania.

my dad ran a charity that took medical supplies and stuff like that out there, i went with him in '96, there were like 6 adults and me and my twin sister in a big minibus for 3 days travelling from swindon to romania. boring as hell, but once we hit austria/hungary the scenery was amazing. then we hit romania. the roads were terrible, we were travelling down what would be classed as an A-road, it was so thin 2 trucks struggled to get passed each other, the edge of the road was crumbling away and there was a 2-foot drop into a field either side. and the nobody can drive for shit out there either. travelling through a little village, we were going round a tight corner around a church when a fucking great articulated lorry comes barreling round the corner in the middle of the road. our driver swerved onto the very edge of the road/pavement (there was no distinction between the two Tongue) and slammed on the brakes, missed us by inches. i was unaware of that, as moments before i'd undone my seatbelt to take my jumper off, i ended up stuck in the footwell of the sliding side door. i had to get pulled out Sad

oh and the road from leominster to aberystwyth is good fun, takes a while but the valleys are stunning (especially the time i went after it had snowed a couple of days previous, everywhere was covered but the roads were clear. perfect!) and the road is a fucking good laugh, proper twisty stuff. my sister went to uni in aber, my mum went to see her and took 5ish hrs to get there from swindon, my dad took just under 4, i did it in about 3 1/2 Cheesy i calmed down a touch when i saw a copper stood just before a bend on the side of a hill, got round the corner and there was a rover on its roof about 20 feet from the edge of the road. still, fucking enjoyable journey Cheesy

I said Pig pen, this here's the rubber duck an' I m about to put the hammer down!!

One of the best road films ever!!  I used to go lorry driving with my dad when I was little, was brilliant!!  Felt like King of the road being up so high, listening to his favourite country and western songs, like teddy bear and Phantom 309, a real "JCB" moment if you know what I mean.  Health and safety have put a stop to all that now and these companies don't let you take passengers anymore - spoil sports.
