The bastards. The only thing that's stopping me getting Sky at the momement is the fact I've not got a BT line. I'd have to change phoneline providers which would mean I might not be able to access the internet!
?? Why do you need a BT line? The latest recommend a friend ended yesterday (the new customer free box + £30 install and £50 M&S to recommender mailshot)

Freesat HD = BBC HD, C4 HD (hardly any HD content) and ITV HD (part time). Waste of time for HD at the moment really.
Hopefully it'll improve though, and with freesat PVRs coming it might scare Sky into dropping their £10 HD fee (ripoff).

Absolutely. I was thinking about phoning up to cancel in a bid to get some free channels. think it would work?
Depends on the current climate. If you use words like credit crunch and cancel they may offer you something like cheaper Movies (if you have them). But there is a risk they may offer you f'all and cancel you!

when i rang up to cancel few years ago they offered me a cheaper price, (not by much) so i sorted a deal where i would get 8 of the next sky box office boxing matches of my choice for free just to stay with sky

if sky scrap the £10 a month fee for hd and give me a box for fuck all i'd be happy. freesat getting better over time will force them to do something eventually i reckon
