I heard somewhere that if somebody reccomends you then you get free installation and free box.

This is bollocks surely?

if you have a sky input just plug that lead into a freesat box £150 to buy.freesat gives you freeview plus a few free hd channels.it's fairly new and humax are developing a recordable box that will be out soon.no monthly payment but sky does have more choice of course

They wanted me to pay £100 for the box and £60  for setup, but if i took thier talk n net package i could have it all for £75. How bloody rude! I think they are discriminating against people with no friends.

Just recommended my dad to get sky+ and they fell over themselves, £50 voucher for M&S for me for recomending him, plus £50 on for my dad, free sky+ box but had to pay £50 installation.

I wouldnt be without Sky+ now.

Sky customer service has imprived but still leaves a lot to be desired, I phoned up to cancel sports and films and they asked why...I said I just cant afford the extra £15 or so a month on top of the normal package...so they said....you have been a customer for 7 years with us....have it for free...so we have Sky+, multiroom with all sky sports and al film channels for £31 a month....sweet.

The bastards. The only thing that's stopping me getting Sky at the momement is the fact I've not got a BT line. I'd have to change phoneline providers which would mean I might not be able to access the internet!
