glad i went and played golf instead.fucking shit result and lost a few bob today becasue of it:(.
maybe we aint as good as we thought we were?

The test was always going to be improved away form....this wasn't Oldham on a wet Wednesday in Feb.

Conditions suited, good away support, and modest opposition. To lose 2-0, the seconfd coming v 10 men....really is a poor effort.  We had so many corners and free kicks around the box, but were completely inept in delivery....I don't think Higgs was tested once.

More of the same and the hacks who had us down as relegation material, want be looking so stupid.

I seem to be a lone voice, but have been saying for a while Phil Smith needs to come in.

I wasn't at today's game ... but on Tuesday's evidence, Brez did go walkabouts on more than one occasion. He still seems a shadow of the player he once was.

I'd have to agree with Batch. If we'd have taken our chances first half and first part of second half we'd have had the game sewn up. But virtually everyone had a bad day at the office, especially the back line who weren't shocking individually but just didn't perform as a cohesive unit. There were far too many echoes of last season in the outplaying a poor side but not finishing them off and in the dip in form away from home. But to take the positives, McNamee had a pretty good game - a couple more like that on the road and hopefully we'll hear the end of the "Macca can't do it away". And it's only the first away game of the season - if we have three or four of the next away games like that, I'll start to worry, but as it is could just be a blip. Far too soon to be drawing conclusions one way or the other.

I blame the kiddy behind me who opined for all to hear that "Cheltnumb are so shit they'll never score"....straight away I thought  Doh 15 secs later Gill duly obliged. I did point out to the lad that years of bitter experience teach one never to say such things.

How we never scored is beyond me their goalkeeper always seems to have a blinder against us. We learnt a couple of things we actually probably knew,Morrison and Aljofree should only be played together as a last resort, Easton should come in for Timlin. Also Brezovan is very dodgy on crosses.
The performance was not too bad just did not convert all ouir chances but came away more frustrated than depressed.

I thought we should've at least try macca on the other side today. I reckon he would run rings around Alan Wright.

I defended Aljofree the other day but won't be anymore.  Was dreadful today.  Thought JP was pretty shit too.  I fancy we need to put the wind up his sails a bit in subbing him and giving him some real competition for his place. His attitude also leaves a lot to be desired.

What became apparent today was that we really missed Paynter when he went off.  Peacock just didn't do the trick today.  I think Paynter is under appreciated and I hope the fans now realise what an important part of our squad he is.

I felt sorry for Marshall being brought on in such a bad climate however he did his best and thats all we can ask for.  Although he wasn't on long, he is very quick and does have skill however his first touch needs improvement.  The lads got passion, enthusiasm and Im pretty sure we can rely on him to work hard and improve his game.  Id like to see more of him as theres something there.

Nalis was off the boil IMO today and we just didnt link up well as a team. Hopefully it was just a bad day at the office.

I have to admit I left today feeling totally p*ssed off, let down and angry at the performance.  If we played well and lost it wouldnt have bothered me as much but the fact we didn't annoyed me.

Im hoping we see some improvement v Colchester.
