If its not a daft question.
Am I right in thinking there is still some L&P money in a kitty somewhere? if so, if Alan, Rob etc arent going to use it for L&P stuff because its effectivly been axed? then what is happening to the left over money - if there even is any?
Personally, I cant see such an up roar about the name of a fans group?
Anyway, as Yeovil_Sam as said - I dont think you need to bother with official positions and all that.
Make yourself the chairman.....and if you have an idea post it on the TEF and all the other boards. If everyone agrees its a good idea then you can get it cleared by the club, then people will cough up and away you go.

Rob etc has already said that he wanted us to use it for this season. Alan objected because "the committee" (which to be fair everyone has resigned) did not vote on me as chairman etc. Under the constitution if the group is dissolved as Rob said it has as we wouldnt get 5 people to an AGM anyway, the money has to be given to a similar group with similar aims etc. Rob and Narbs on the forum have stated they want my fans group to use the money to carry out the plans we had. We won't be as formal. It's just a ridiculous situation to be honest.

My two penneth worth:
After a bright start, L&P turned into a bit of a damp squib. The whole mantra of L&P is dead and I think it's best to leave that brand behind.
Personally Gaz, I think you should try and get away from the whole L&P model - you don't need a structured board etc. that just adds to much politics when all you want to do is be free and easy and have a good time. Just get a willing group of people together, I know that you'll be handling donations etc. but at the end of the day we're all adults (well, most of us) and I'm sure we you as a group can be trusted with other peoples money without all the red tape. It certainly worked for TUMDFC.

We will discuss our ideas on an open forum. Already have the unused vital one at http://swindon.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/category-view.asp so... I am not too concerned, we have plans, funding etc and a meeting with the club so we will sort things out!

We want to do some stuff to raise money. IE Family fun day etc, kids do penalty kicks etc, things like that, We get half the money for basic stuff like streamers or flags and the rest goes to STFC Football in the Community etc...

Like arriba says, money doesn't have to be an issue. Just appoint an informal treasurer to look after the cash. As long as somebody keeps a tally of how much you spend and how much is donated then I can't see there being any problems.

They can kick up as much as they like really anyway. Our philosophy really I guess it to make the atmosphere better but also do things (where financially able to) to get kids hooked as well like the penalties etc. Kids get flags etc say they had a good time and as my mate said kids say "oh can we go to football" etc... It's not just about us etc, if we get 6,000 fans say with season tickets, The football could be great, but why not make a day of it and make sure people ahve a good time (except for when we are getting thumped 3-0 at half time soapy tit wank)

That was really good.
