Didn't hang around did they. Got to say Oevil it's not really a shocker though, I'd say it was inevitable.
Whose going to get the job I wonder?

Grant is sacked = courtesy of yours truly John Terry On a serious note though its absolutely ridiculous. I kind of feel sorry for Grant too as I seriously dislike Abrahmovich. God help whoever gets that job next.

I do actually have a little part of me that does feel sorry for him. Hes big, ugly, got manhandled by Stevie G and is now without a job.

I'm sure the five million pounds will soften the blow. He didn't really do a great job, if they sacked Mourinho after winning stuff every year then they have to sack him for winning nothing. Sacking Mourinho has proven to be pretty stupid though.

Looked a certain third place when he took over in the Prem, Champions League final beaten on pens .... no other Chelski manager has come so close.

Anelka: As Avram Grant awaits his fate at Chelsea, striker Nicolas Anelka put pressure on the manager with a scathing attack on the Israeli for leaving the player on the bench for most the Wednesday's Champions League final and then bringing him on without chance of warming up. "At no point did I think I was going to come on," said Anelka. "I was on the bench for 110 minutes and suddenly I am asked to play, not even a minute after I was sent out to warm up. OK, so let me get this right: Anelka was ON THE BENCH for the match, but did not expect to be brought on!!!! Now I have been to many a match and it is common to see the subs warming up, even in the first half, just incase. It's just Anelka making excuses, or worse he was not prepared down to his own arrogance/un-professionalism. "Suddenly" asked to play................. BULLSHIT!

Looked a certain third place when he took over in the Prem, Win the premiership, champions league, fa cup or even the carling cup perhaps? Certain third place after one month of the season? I think if he'd have stayed they would have won the league almost certainly, they threw it away by losing to Arsenal and Man United under Grant and not winning a couple of crucial games at the end of the season.
