Football in Italy, reflects the corruption of its body politic. Silvio Berlusconi, is proper ace, prime minister, but also a sort of Murdoch media tycoon, with a penchant for football and young girls.
Berlusconi is seen as a bit of a laugh outside Italy with what he gets up to etc. In Italy he's hated and is seen as a disgrace, he's up to his eyeballs with the Mafia, Camorra etc. Back to the original point Serie B is miles better than League 1 let alone League 2. Technically it's up there with The Championship if not better but it hasn't got the commercial aspect like the Football League has over here. The stadiums over there are awful, crowds are low aswell but the players are good. |
