Why would Phillips ever want to come here ?  Any championship club would be happy to have him I'm sure. He's more likely to end up on Sky than in the lower leagues

Mind you, I said they'd never pick Di Canio either

not a rumour but Neil harris has signed for southend on a 3 year deal!  how the fuck can they justify that?

still, the old rivalry is back on...

edit: oops, didn't see your post china

Wonder if he'll announce Manks as his second summer signing! ....or maybe not!

I knew I recognised him, but couldn't place where from.  Iirc, he beat 2 irish lads in the final 3 and seemed to think quite a lot of himself?

Thats the one. He beat Connor and Craig in the final. I thought at the time Craig was actually the better player but he got home sick easy - so probably wouldnt have settled in Italy.

He did think alot of himself but footballers need that confidence borderline arrogance. Simon Cox has it but he also has a tremendous work ethic and the talent to back it up. Ben (who I doubt will sign for us making this kinda pointless) appeared to have the arrogance and a bit of talent. Probably will never see what 2 years in the Inter youth set up has done for him.

I read a post (posted by myself) the other day about this show (in the samsung player thingy thread) i'd be genuinely interested to know what happened to the other 9 finalists who didnt win whether any of them have had trails else where or even made it else where.

The standard looked good with the heavy editing! Doing another one at Man City in the summer I believe...

Great Signing by Southend today Neil Harris wouldnt mind him here in fairness. Him and Corr will be quality at Southend next year. Harris is a southend fan though.

A three year deal for a 33 year old (34 next month) is almost unheard of nowadays.

Southend fan will likely get a crack at management in next couple years as player manager I would imagine, Would be a popular apointment there later on.
