Yes of course, we are in the 4th Divison though. He would do a very, very good job at that level.

Precisely, so lets not spend money on a 'has been' but lets instead build a team capable of a Macari-esque rise through the divisions!

I knew I recognised him, but couldn't place where from.  Iirc, he beat 2 irish lads in the final 3 and seemed to think quite a lot of himself?

What footballer doesn't think a lot of themselves?

Probably absolute bullshit but I thought I'd throw a name in there.

Kevin Phillips.

I know he's been linked with Watford blah blah blah, but hey.

Seconded by me - have heard this bandied around a lot lately - would be an amazing signing still

No fucking chance, a) he would not drop to L2 and b) we'd never afford his wages

also didnt say Ricketts was signing - just that we had talks with him about a move ... apparently he is a free agent and can talk to whoever he wants ...

Have I missed something?  Isn't Rohan Ricketts really, really shit?  At least that's my overriding recollection of seeing him a couple of times.

Yes I've heard this (Phillips, not Ricketts) is a done deal. if my source is lying, i get to kick him square in the beans.

Either way, i'm on to a winner.

Michael Ricketts is shit, Rohan Ricketts is not a bad player.

Looks like Sturrock is not too fussed about two big bollocks when signing players.
