Didn't Habib Beye have a fight with the entire Huddersfield team at half time?

Yes, he was tactfully withdrawn by Chris Hughton shortly after.... it was a full blooded brawl according to the press this morning....

Southend have taken Blackburn striker Maceo Rigters on trial.

Really? He was really highly rated when they signed him though wasn't he? Obviously he peaked early and is now shit if he's on trial for the Mockney Kevins.

That's what I thought. However his club goalscoring rate as a striker is frankly woeful. Shone for the Dutch under 21s which is probably why he came to Blackburn's attention.

6 in 9 for the under 21s, but 13 in 103 for various clubs. He couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.

Went on loan to Barnsley last season and in 19 appearances scored 0. Eek

Colchester have just paid out 125k for some clown called Joel Thomas who scored one goal in 20 odd appearences for Hamilton Accies last season (he's a striker btw) I'm not one for taking much notice of what other fans say about a player we've just signed but reading the following reactions I think I would be a bit worried if I was a Col U fan. He sounds like a poor man's Eric Sabin Huh?

Richard Offiong sounds like he could be useful though (also Hamilton Accies)

Scored lots for the Accies in the lower leagues in Scotland. Don't think he's been as prolific in the SPL though.

Hamilton are balancing the books post-Setanta collapse, they'll listen to offers. Don't think Offiong would do much down here though.

When I say he could be 'useful' I suppose I'm comparing him to Big Billy's other potential partners...i.e Cherno Samba / Lloyd Macklin / no one..we really need to sign a striker PDQ..it's starting to get on my nerves now
