I'd take Stockley out of those rumoured. Has played in footballing sides before (Exeter, Charlton) so hopefully wouldn't see us revert to type too much. Think he has a questionable injury record though.
Stockley played at Preston with Ripley and Bodin.

At the start of the window they randomly reported a few things in one day and all seemed to happen/be confirmed by the Moonraker.
Theres definitely something there but feel they have overcooked it. Even with the contract ext they were a bit early. However Nichols was bang on time.

Stockley over Ironside.
Ironside record last season was really poor. 4 goals

That’ll sway it then, it’ll be Stockley.

I’d be more than happy with Tafazolli and Palmer to plug the current gaps. This isn’t a pond I expected us to be fishing in - even if there is risk offering two year deals to players that age. I expected no replacement, or an Elliot Benyon. For the sake of balance, if we pull off the transfers, credit is due. Perhaps we have received / will receive insurance payments for the injuries to Minturn and Smith, but in any case, it seems that any available budget is going onto the pitch rather than (for example) a lesser wage to have a comms / PR guy in to support the media guy, to help improve the relationship with the supporters and try and manage what Holloway has to say each week. As much as I want a comms guy, I want good players more, so I can’t argue with that approach…

Absolutely this. Whatever I or anyone else may think of Clem, no one can say he doesn't want promotion...

What’s the Swindonian / and how have they got a scoop / access to the club?
They also have an "interview" with Clem that, thus far, none of the others have had this time. So it's possible they're being used by the club as a friendly media outlet.

The new Gary Stanley? Although I personally dislike Holloway, the biggest benefit of him is that Morfuni is shit scared of losing him as he is effectively a shield. Assume this is all being funded from the Ameen sale so doesn’t really require new funds as such.

If Palmer wants a move down south to relocate to London, many clubs on the rumour list would not seem the right fit for him, except for Cambridge who you would think will go in hard for him.
A 2 year deal for Palmer here would also perhaps have implications for whether we decide to make Harry Smith an offer of an extended deal this summer....

On a personal level I'd like to extend Harry Smith. I also think Striker 30+ coming off an ACL is going to have less suitors which is why the injury was so devastating for him. But yes, club definitely wouldn't be backed into a corner with it.
